David Letterman Netflix Series Gets Premiere Date, Title - Watch Teaser

The series, titled "My Next Guest Needs No Introduction" will be a six-episode, 60 minute talk show with a new episode each subsequent month. We'll find out when My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman debuts on Netflix on January 12.

The streaming platform teased the new show's January 12 launch in a tweet with a lineup topped by the former USA leader: "Obama". Having President Obama as his first guest is an attention-grabbing "get" in show biz circles, allowing Letterman to stretch his legs comedically while tackling bigger issues - and without worrying about angering advertisers. Dave's lineup of influential guests includes George Clooney, Malala Yousafzai, Jay-Z, Tina Fey, Howard Stern and President Barack Obama.

Although this will be Obama's first talk show interview since leaving the Oval Office, he did sit down for an interview with Prince Harry in September. Obama visited the late-night staple eight times while Letterman was the host - three times while he was president, according to The Hill.

The new series was just announced last August and will have the veteran talk show hosts interviewing prominent figures both inside and outside of a studio setting.
