Eighteen hours after she said "I do" on December 22 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut, she died at the age of 31.

A love story that is touching many people around the world, Heather Mosher took her vows to husband Dave on December 22, exactly one year to the day that he proposed, which was also the day she was diagnosed with cancer.

"I left the plans as they were". "I wanted her to feel that I'm there and that she did not have to overcome this one way", says David. "She struggled with her cancer through the traditional chemotherapy".

David and Heather's love story started 2.5 years ago in May 2015 when they met at swing dancing class.

David Mosher told news organizations that on the day he planned to propose, December 23, 2016, Heather was diagnosed with cancer.

'She didn't know I was going to propose that night, but I said to myself, she needs to know she's not going to go down this road alone, ' David said.

'A pair of draft horses, a carriage, and I arranged it all for that night.

But after popping the question under a street light following a horse-drawn carriage ride, just five days later the couple found out Heather's cancer was triple negative - a rare and extremely aggressive form of the disease.

Then, in September 2017, came even more bad news-they learned the cancer had spread.
