Mayweather Meeting With Dana White Today To Discuss Fight

The Floyd Mayweather to UFC rumors that cropped up over a week ago seem to have died out... until UFC president Dana White chose to refuel the rumor mill in a Thursday appearance on FOX Sports' Undisputed. And I said that he would you know, don't count anything out on him coming over to the UFC, that anything is possible. I did not believe that McGregor Mayweather, would happen and it did.

On Thursday, White only added fuel to those discussions when he revealed he is set to meet with members of Floyd's Money Team to discuss a possible fight.

Mayweather has teased about how much money he could make if he ever fought in the UFC, but nobody in their right mind believes he would actually go through it because of the risk of being absolutely destroyed and embarrassed. He's capable of fighting in UFC but he concluded, the last time we heard, he will not enter the octagon.

McGregor was thought to fight in March or April once interim champion Tony Ferguson had recovered from surgery.

"Exactly what I said is this: If I could make over a billion dollars before, I could do it again", Mayweather said. "I don't think the guy wants to fight", White mused.

Owner of dogs that killed Kentucky woman charged
Investigators with the sheriff's office are warning residents no to engage with the unsafe animal if they come across it. A seven-year-old boy was attacked killed by a pair of pit bulls on November 21, 2017, in Lowell, Massachusetts.

But, UFC President Dana White is finally shedding some more light on the situation. If whoever wins the Barboza-Khabib fight while we're trying to figure out this Conor mess, could end up fighting Tony Ferguson for the opportunity to fight Conor McGregor so we'll see.

White called the situation a "mess" and said a fight on Saturday between Khabib Nurmagomedov (24-0 MMA, 8-0 UFC) and Edson Barboza (19-4 MMA, 13-4 UFC) at UFC 219 will begin to clear the blockage at the top of the lightweight division.

White said it's easy to "look at a piece of paper" and argue McGregor's been reluctant to defend his title, but doing so ignores the details of the timeline.
