The good news for the reigning National Basketball Association (NBA) champions Golden State Warriors is that they overcame a 21-point deficit on Monday night and posted a gritty 125-115 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Warriors have had a player ejected in three straight games with Durant recording three ejections in the past 18 games after just four in the previous 810.

But New Orleans (12-12) showed a super version of itself in Monday's opening half against the Warriors, who completed a two-day back-to-back Monday amid a six-game road trip, their longest this season. Get the app and get the game.

The Finals MVP knows his flaws, but he'll have to act on correcting them to establish himself as a responsible starter under Steve Kerr and not give this team another wild lion that can run rampant at a moment's notice.

Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry said that he's talked to Cousins about his technical fouls and the team will do everything it can to make sure the star big man stays on the court.

It's possible Durant and Cousins could be assessed $25,000 fines for failing to leave the court in a timely manner, but we'll have to wait and see what the league chooses to do.

"I got to be more focused, I got to be more poised", Durant said, according to ESPN's Nick Friedell.

Durant and Pelicans center DeMarcus Cousins were ejected with 1:14 left for a shouting match with each other. "We're not composed out there", he told Mercurynews.com. Livingston was going to rest Monday anyway, Kerr said Sunday. We have to be poised and we have to execute out there. For anyone keeping count, this is the second time in three days that Durant has been ejected. "I know I have a reputation in this league and I know I'll never get the benefit of the doubt, so I've just got to keep trying to do the right thing".

The Warriors (19-6) trailed by as many as 21 points late in the second quarter and by 20 at halftime.
