Donald Trump Challenges CNN International Coverage for Spreading 'Fake News'

Trump's tweet is his latest attack on CNN, which he branded earlier this year as "fake news".

Following that tweet, and TIME claiming the president was "incorrect," CNN senior media correspondent Brian Stelter noted that Trump doesn't want to speak to outlets that he feels aren't friendly with him anymore.

In response, CNN Communications tweeted, "It's not CNN's job to represent the U.S to the world". As of Saturday evening, the site was unavailable due to technical difficulties. To those who follow Comey's semiregular Twitter activity, his tweets are subtle jabs at political leaders, particularly at the one who fired him. Also Trump's tweet spawned a new joke format.

Since Trump's inauguration, CNN has taken a more hostile tone towards the president and many of his staff.
