Meghan Markle Reportedly Had Tea With Queen Elizabeth II

Because her life is a literal fairytale, Meghan Markle spent last week having a discreet tea party with the Queen and Prince Harry, and we say "party" because every hang session with the Queen is obviously lit. The important meeting happened last Thursday, just two days after Her Majesty returned home from her extended holiday in Scotland.

According to the publication, the pair arrived at the palace at around 5pm in a auto with blacked out windows, and were then whisked up to the Queen's private sitting room, where they spent the next hour talking to the royal matriarch.

Meghan is thought to have met other members of the royal family already, including Prince Charles who was "very impressed" and the Duchess of Cornwall who is thought to have told members of staff that she is "a very nice girl and very pleasant", the Daily Mail reports.

She seemed eager to keep a low profile, shielding her face with her raven tresses. Currently, Harry is fifth in line to the throne, which means he needs the Queen's permission to tie the knot.

Now we can presumably wait for the engagement announcement, which many royal watchers have said should come before the end of the year. This is because there are several important dates in the calendar that can't clash with a royal wedding.

The British royal and his Suits star girlfriend have been at the centre of claims they will soon announce an engagement for the past few months. "The most likely date is early summer 2018, which neatly ties in with Harry and Meghan's second anniversary". According to one source in the know, the months of June and July have been earmarked for Harry and Meghan to Wednesday, which gives us plenty of time to source our outfits.

Harry and Meghan went public with their relationship - or perhaps, more apropos, their relationship was made public - about a year ago, but the couple haven't been spotted together until a few weeks ago at the Invictus Games.
