While "Sorry" was perhaps Bieber's bounciest and most club-friendly dance track on "Purpose", the lower-toned beats on his latest BloodPop collab feel a little more grown-up, which in turn makes it nearly even catchier than "Sorry".

The new track is a collaboration with musician and record producer BloodPop, who was one of the main producers for Lady Gaga's "Joanne" and has produced songs for John Legend, Britney Spears, Fifth Harmony, Major Lazer, Beyonce and Madonna.

The song also includes writing credits from "Sorry" hit-maker's Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter.

The new three-minute-long song has a bouncy, upbeat sensibility and will stick quickly. So after a couple hours' worth of "Friends" being there for us, how do the two singles stack up for us? Bieber has not released a solo album since 2015's "Purpose", but he has kept himself very busy.

"I have let my insecurities get the best of me at times, I let my broken relationships dictate the way I acted toward people and the way I treated them". Whilst there are elements of EDM, the track definitely has a poppier feel to it, particularly when Justin croons, "So I'm wondering, can we still be friends?". Only time will tell.
