Increased potential for flooding will accompany the heavy rainfall that is predicted to range from 3 to 6 inches, according to the weather service. Wednesday night will see lows back in the upper 60s/ low 70s and skies will be mostly clear to partly cloudy.

There's a 30 percent chance for showers and storms overnight, mainly after 5 a.m., as the low falls to around 62. Showers and thunderstorms will develop, especially during the second half of the day.

Next Thursday and Friday will have a chance of a few showers and storms as the air remains moist and unsettled. Calm wind becoming south around 5 miles per hour in the afternoon. The high will be 83, after a morning low of 68.

Saturday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 am. Areas south and southeast have the best chance of seeing 2 or more inches of rain.

Monday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Sunday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Wednesday: Partly sunny with a high near 87. Rain chances are up to 60%. Temperatures will manage to rebound closer to average as well in the upper 70s to around 80.
