Johnson Controls has unveiled a thermostat using Microsoft's Cortana digital assistant software.

Neither Microsoft nor Johnson Controls said whether the thermostat will be sold to consumers in the United Kingdom or U.S., or how much it will cost.

GLAS includes a touchscreen to allow manual controls and check on information, including temperature, air quality readings and calendar schedule.
