Delta fires back at Ann Coulter after angry tweetstorm

Delta fired back at conservative pundit Ann Coulter on Sunday for what the airline called an "unacceptable and unnecessary" series of tweets after she was denied the seat she had pre-booked on a Saturday flight. Yet Coulter's rant (which can be viewed through an apolitical lens, since she simply wasn't nice) brought genuine fire, for she attempted to shame a female passenger, who looked pretty unimpressed after Coulter raised hell over her extra-room seat being given away.

"We will refund Ms. Coulter's $30 for the preferred seat on the exit row that she purchased".

She even posted on Twitter a photo of the passenger she said had taken her seat. "Wow!" tweeted one person. "Airline crew training at @Delta: Replicate Stanley Milgram's prison experiment at Yale, inducing normal ppl to brutally torture fellow man", Coulter tweeted.

Coulter spent much of Sunday afternoon tweeting and retweeting disparaging remarks against Delta.

The six foot tall, right-leaning TV commentator and author, 55, took to Twitter on Saturday to complain that she'd been booted from her reserved "comfort" seat which comes with an extra three inches of leg room. Ann Coulter was quoted as describing her experience with secuity at the Harrisburg, PA airport as, "took special care in waving the wand over my barefeet - barefeet! - but then quickly turned to the main issue at hand: the risk of an exploding bra".

Though she accomplished what she wanted by publicly airing her displeasure with Delta, Coulter was specifically rebuked for tweeting the picture of the woman who was placed in her seat.

When Coulter allegedly asked why she was moved, a flight attendant apparently responded with "I don't know". She also retweeted a fan's theory that Delta's stock was down this morning because of her beef with the airline.

As Coulter persisted in chiding Delta Airlines, social media users started to weigh in on the situation.

Gillian Brockell, a former flight attendant, defended Delta when she wrote: "I can say there are a lot of "emergency" reasons to put a family together. Which is confidential info they wouldn't be able to share with a dissatisfied passenger".
