Microsoft Just Made All Your Minecraft Dreams Come True

Microsoft' E3 press conference saw an important announcement for Minecraft with the new "Better Together Update". The game will no longer be referred to as "Minecraft: *insert platform* Edition" and will just be titled simply Minecraft as all of these versions will be the same game. To signify the decision to unify the many versions of Minecraft, the console versions of the game will be renamed. Microsoft's aspirin will come this summer, though, when Minecraft will get a built-in server browser that makes servers easier to discover and use, said Minecraft marketing leader Emily Orrson.

As the second best-selling video game of all-time, Minecraft appeals to both children and adults with its 3D-generated world, sandbox-style gameplay, freedom, and simple system of building and breaking blocks to create your own unique world.

This will no doubt come as a disappointment for PlayStation Minecraft fans, but Sony may have good reason in wanting to keep the game separate.

There will be cross-play between Minecraft's PC, mobile, virtual reality, and even console versions. Community run servers will also be allowed across the platforms.

"The amount of different ways to play is going to exponentially expand", says Emily Orsson, Microsoft's marketing chief.

I'm willing to testify under oath about Comey claims
But Trump's comments reflected a highly selective reading of Comey's testimony, much of which painted a damaging picture of the president's conduct.

The first piece of information revealed and arguably one of the most important pieces of information we've seen in modern gaming is the introduction of cross-play servers for all Minecraft players.

Meanwhile, the original version of Minecraft on PC will become known as Minecraft: Java Edition. If you own Minecraft for your mobile or VR device, you'll get this as a free update this summer. The feature will initially launch with four servers - Lifeboat, Mineplex, InPVP, and CubeCraft, but Stone said more will follow.

The new update also means that any downloadable content will be available across all devices. This pack introduces "dynamic shadows, lighting that streams through fog, movement in leaves and grass, new textures for mobs and villagers, directional lighting, edge highlighting and more".

This fall, players will be able to explore endless worlds, rendered in 4K HDR resolution, via another upcoming update.
