Trump sons defend his criticism of London mayor

Donald Trump's shameful and out of context attacks on Sadiq Khan, the popular mayor of London, have only reminded us of what a boor Trump is.

"We keep appeasing it", Donald Trump Jr. said Monday in Trump Tower.

In the hours after Saturday night's attack, which killed seven people and left dozens seriously injured, Trump suggested that Khan had told Londoners "not to be alarmed" about the attack.

LONDON (AP) - The mayor of London says he doesn't care about the repeated insults he has received from the president of the United States, asserting Tuesday that he "really couldn't be bothered about what Donald Trump tweets".

But the most recent source of friction between the pair has come in the wake of the recent London Bridge attacks and after Mr Trump wrongly claimed the mayor had said there was "no reason to be alarmed" about the risk of terror attacks in London. Since taking office on January 20, Trump has ordered temporary travel restrictions on people from several Muslim-majority countries, although the ban is now held up by federal courts.

'Look, I think that the point is, is there is a reason to be alarmed, ' Huckabee Sanders replied.

Asked on Monday evening if he would like Trump's visit to be called off, Khan, a member of Britain's opposition Labour party, said his position remained the same.

Not mentioned by Trump was that Khan also warned that the threat level in London remains severe.

Opposition Condemns Goldman Sachs Purchase Of Venezuelan Bonds
Since April 1, Venezuela has been beset by near daily protests and violent clashes with government forces that have left 59 dead. An emotional gathering of the Organization of American States ended with no consensus, other than an agreement to keep talking.

China vows to adhere to Paris climate deal
A day after Trump rejected the Paris agreement, the European Union and Chinese leaders repeated their support for the deal. The Trump administration argued that the deal was unfair to the U.S. economy. "Climate change is real".

Mets Mascot Gives fan The Finger
The employee will keep his job with the team, but will not be the team mascot again, according to a team official . It's unclear if fans or people in the stadium said anything to the Mets mascot before the incident took place.

Khan knows that Trump's tweets have partially served to reinforce the preexisting conflict between the two men.

Khan has been against Trump's visit to the United Kingdom from the very start and he continues to maintain that view.

Speaking at a fundraising event on Monday, she did not name Trump but said it was "not the time to lash out, to incite fear and use trash talk and terror for political gain", the Washington Examiner reported.

She pushed back against criticism that Trump had mischaracterized Khan's remarks, saying "the media wants to spin it that way". "I think it's a very good thing, and I hope he does a very good job because frankly, that would be very, very good".

Trump's oldest son, Donald Trump Jr., defended his father.

"Of course we should have cordial relations with our closest ally, of course we should have a special relationship, but one of the things about a special relationship is that its like having best mates - you stand shoulder to shoulder with them in times of adversity, but you call them out when they're wrong, and there are so many things that Donald Trump is wrong about, and in those circumstances I'm not in favour of a state visit".

"This is a time for us to reach out to the world, to understand more about what is happening - not just in our own country, but indeed across the globe", Mrs. Clinton said. "We're gonna hold fast and we're gonna 'keep calm and carry on.' Maybe we have to keep calm and actually do something".

Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson says state visit will go ahead.
