Voters Show Growing Appetite for Trump Impeachment

In the past few weeks, several calls to impeach US President Donald Trump have surfaced, from online petitions, to late night talk show hosts - even to members of Congress.

The initial organizing force was a group known as Free Speech for the People, a small but noisy liberal group in Amherst, Mass. that asserts Trump violated the Foreign Emoluments Clause in the Constitution because he failed to divest from his private business interests before he was sworn into office.

The only limitation on that presidential pardon power is that it can not be used if the president is impeached, or to interfere with the impeachment process. The Los Angeles city council made a call to request for the impeachment proceedings to begin in the beginning of May.

US Constitution, Article II, Section 2 on pardon power of the president: 'The President shall.have Power to Grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offenses against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment'.

Chatter of a potential Trump impeachment has increased in the weeks since he fired FBI Director James Comey, who had been leading the federal Russian Federation probe. The firing of FBI Director James Comey, in particular, prompted allegations of potential obstruction of justice from Democrats and at the least, concerns over optics from Republicans in Congress. For Donald Trump himself, these numbers are just "FAKE NEWS", but for the rest of America, they allow us to see how far the President's approval ratings have fallen since taking office and imposing various rules on the country. "Democrats and Republicans are unlikely to cooperate for impeachment". The president is not above the law. "But in this country, we're innocent until proven guilty ... let's give it a chance to play out".

It's the matchup most expected, the matchup most predicted, and probably the matchup the Cavaliers and Warriors wanted as well. Much more of that sort of that will likely follow over the next week, filling time before Golden State plays host to Game 1.

Does US believe Western Wall is in Israel?
When two leaders of a Muslim Brotherhood-linked advocacy group lobbied Congress on May 3, they failed to disclose their open. The letter, signed by about five dozen Christian leaders, was delivered this week to the president.

Chinese President Xi Jinping has called for giving a boost to the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The envoy said the two countries also plan to launch a satellite to improve Pakistan's capabilities in land surveying.

Now, suspicion surrounding the Trump campaign's alleged ties to Russian Federation and the ensuing investigation have gotten lawmakers in Chicago in the act. While Presidents Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton were impeached, neither one had enough votes against them to drive them from the presidency.

43 percent believe he has committed an impeachable offense.

In 1974, President Richard Nixon was facing impeachment procedures over the Watergate scandal, but resigned from office before it went through.

This is the result from a recent Politico/Morning Consult poll, one which also found that 45 percent of Americans don't want to impeach Trump and that (again) 45 percent approve of Trump's performance as president.
