Today, highs across much of central and eastern North Carolina will reach the upper 80s. Highs will be in the middle 80s Monday and the lower 80s, upper 70s Tuesday and Wednesday.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 69. High near 79. South wind around 5 miles per hour.

Tonight: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9pm.

Tuesday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Scattered showers and storms on Monday late morning into afternoon will move eastward during the day due to a southwest wind. South wind 6 to 8 miles per hour.

Sunday night brings chances of rain up to 80 percent with temperatures in the mid 50s. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 67. East wind around 5 miles per hour becoming northwest in the afternoon. Some of these high precipitation storms have a history of dropping 2-4 inches of rain in a very small amount of time.
