In a statement, McDonald's CEO Steve Easterbrook pointed to the expansion as the restaurant's way of "bringing a new level of convenience to more of our customers as we continue to transform the McDonald's experience". Now folks in Los Angeles; Chicago; Columbus, Ohio; and Phoenix will be able to order McDonald's through the UberEATS website or mobile app.

McDonald's just took us a few steps closer to that dream. With a $5 booking fee from Uber, an Egg McMuffin meal cost about $11 when delivered by the vehicle service - and more if you tip the courier, or if your delivery is in a busy area. There's a 40-piece Chicken McNuggets for $9.99, and a Big Mac & Chicken McNuggets Meal Bundle - two Big Macs, 20-piece Chicken McNuggets, three medium fries and three medium beverages - for $14.99.

The pilot program started in more than 200 Florida locations back in January, to huge success.

In April, the food chain announced it would be launching the service nationally, but at the time did not state what specific cities would be involved.

Almost 75 percent of the USA population lives within three 3 miles of a McDonald's restaurant, according to the company.
