Pictures has released a new trailer tease for the long-awaited sequel Blade Runner 2049, featuring star Ryan Gosling striking an iconic silhouette fans will remember from the original marketing. In it, we're teased with a return to the dystopian world of the first film and given a reintroduction to Rick Decker as played by Harrison Ford.

The studio released the posters on their official Twitter page, which features Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling. While the imagery certainly mirrors the original Ridley Scott film, director Denis Villeneuve looks to be working with a color palette that is both depressing and striking at the same time. Story by Hampton Fancher, based on characters from the novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick. After learning of a dark and mysterious secret that threatens humanity as he knows it, this same discovery leads him to find Deckard. Check back here for the full trailer on Monday! Replicants are not permitted on Earth, and those replicants who deny the ban are hunted by police operatives called Blade Runners.
