All eyes on Trump, Ryan relationship after health care defeat

Breitbart and Joseph Curl each made the connection between Trump's tweet and Pirro's anti-Ryan rant; so did various anti-Trumpers, left and right, on Twitter. Noah said in the segment (above) Monday night after playing the clip of Pirro bashing the Speaker of the House for failing to deliver enough votes to pass the GOP's health care bill. In that show, Judge Jeanine Pirro called for the resignation of Paul Ryan from his post as the House leader.

In Pirro's telling, Ryan let Trump down by not doing his share of the work in corralling Republican votes to fulfill a seven-year promise to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act - a view held by a number of the president's advisers.

"This is a setback, no two ways about it, but it is not the end of the story", said House Speaker Paul Ryan in a press conference after the bill was pulled.

On MSNBC, correspondent Kelly O'Donnell said White House spokesman Sean Spicer told her that "the president likes the show, only wanted to help the show, nothing more".

But Trump doesn't do favors, he does deals, especially deals that turn out disastrously for one or all parties involved. Trump, as a political neophyte, appeared to merit little of the blame in Pirro's eyes.

But privately aides to the president did blame Ryan, according to Bloomberg. "In fact, he thought Paul Ryan worked really hard".

Pirro's statement had some seriously harsh words for the Speaker, essentially blaming the bill's failure in its entirety on Ryan, highlighting his incompetence to make it work despite the ideal storm of a Republican-controlled Congress and the momentum of the new Presidential administration.

OH unemployment rate 5.1%, state gains 15200 jobs
Kentucky's trade, transportation and utilities also registered losses, decreasing by 1,200 positions over the month. Johns County had an unemployment rate of 4.3 percent in January, the second-lowest rate in the state.

HORSLEY: Now, it's certainly true that Paul Ryan is the architect of the bill that failed last week. Shortly thereafter, the commander in chief called on followers to watch Judge Jeanine Pirro's show on Fox News that evening.

The White House did not respond Saturday night to questions about whether Trump knew what Pirro was going to say.

In total, those states add up to 79 electoral votes-and without them, Trump would not have won the election. But because health coverage is financially out of reach for so many, the fair thing is to ask them to pay what they can and have government fill in the rest. Ryan's argument that parliamentary procedures in the Senate forced him to repeal Obamacare in three phases does make sense.

That a fiery Fox News host would take an establishment Republican to task over a very visible legislative failure is not breaking news, per se.

The American people won't forget this and neither should the president.

"I think what we ended up with and unfortunately, the blowback-some of it is going to come back to the president-but he can rebound", Bova said.

There are "a lot of players, a lot of players with a very different mind-set", Trump said.
