The auto bomb attack that hit the police headquarters in the city of Elazig early on Thursday left three police officers dead and scores more wounded.

After some hours, one more vehicle bombing struck police head office in the eastern Turkish city of Elazig early today, killing about three cops office officers and wounding about 100 individuals, the state-run Anadolu Agency stated.

Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirum said the attacks Thursday are an indication the PKK, founded in 1978 as a socialist revolutionary organization, is weakening and resorting to suicide bombings.

This latest attack was the smallest in scope, but still ended with five soldiers dead and four wounded.

"There were discussions also on the terrorist attacks in Turkey and the internal developments in Turkey, including the recent coup attempt".

According to the reports, the wounded were transferred to the hospitals in the province, and two soldiers of them were in critical condition. Turkey has imposed a three-month state of emergency, which it says is needed to hunt down the coup plotters, and Erdogan has vowed to eradicate businesses, charities and schools linked to Gulen, calling them "nests of terror".

The PKK has since carried out dozens of attacks on police and military posts in the largely Kurdish region in its fight for greater autonomy for Turkey's 15 million Kurds.

U.S. National Security Council spokesman Ned Price issued a statement condemning the attacks.

The U.S. remains steadfast in its support for Turkey, a North Atlantic Treaty Organisation ally and partner, which continues to be afflicted by terrorist attacks that indiscriminately kill and wound both security personnel and civilians, Price said.

Turkey frequently imposes such bans following deadly bomb attacks.
